This example made circa 1880 to the best quality and is made of gilt brass with much of the original gilt still remaining. It is fully working as is the thermometer. It has a beautiful stepped dial and the front the the dial bears the makers mark of T.W.WATSON. 4 PALL MALL LONDON. It has an unusually large barometer scale measuring from 21 to 31. The Altimeter measures from 1000 to 10000 feet. It retains its original moroccan leather carry case lined with green silk. The outer carry case shows age related wear. The Pocket Barometer measures approx 4.5cm diameter across the dial and is approx 2cm depth. Total weight of the barometer including the carry case is 146grams.
