Here we have a set of 3 Doulton Lambeth stoneware Jugs commemorating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The largest Hug stands 22 cms tall and is 14 cms in girth. Weight 1.5kg. The middle Jug stands18 cms tall and is 12.5 cms in girth. Weight 1.1 kg. The smallest Jug stands14.5 cms tall and is 10 cms in girth. Weight 0.6kg. All 3 Jugs are identically decorated. The bulbous body has a deep blue glaze with head portraits of a young queen and the other of her at the time of her Jubilee in green glaze. There are also bands of light & dark brown and green glaze. The top green band shows the words " DEI GRATIA -VICTORIA - QUEEN & EMPRESS ". The central green band has the words ' SHE WROUGHT HER PEOPLE LASTING GOOD ".
All 3 jugs are in excellent condition with no chips; cracks; repairs or crazing.
