Antique three dial resistance box by W.E Pye of Cambridge. As can be seen by the photos, it was hand made with hand wound constantan resistance coils and set into a hardwood box with a Bakelite top panel and knobs.
The resistance dialled up on each of the three selectors is added together and connected to the two brass screw terminals on the panel. Resistance ranges are in tenths, units and tens giving a total range of zero to 111 ohms.
Measures 32 x 13 x 12 cms.
